The Barn

Set in 20 acres of peaceful farmland, overlooking our Riverside Centre from the top of symonds yat rock, Holly Barn provides an exciting environment for group camping or accommodation in our newly renovated barn and outbuildings. The Barn offers facilities for up to 50 people, and has both electric heating and traditional wood-burning stoves.

Day Rooms

Whether for a classroom, leisure room or conference room, we have 2 specially prepared Day Rooms. Slide projectors, overhead projectors and screens are available on request.

Bunk Bed Accommodation

Bunk Bed Accommodation is available on the first floor of the Barn with the sleeping quarters being divided into rooms containing 2 to 16 beds. Mattresses and covers are provided but sheets, pillows and sleeping bags should be brought with you. (you can hire a full sleep pack if you require)

Kitchen and Dining Facilities
There are 2 kitchens and dining rooms offering catering facilities for 2 separate groups of up to 50 and 24 persons.
Each includes cooking utensils, microwaves, 6-burner ranges with ovens, toasters, fridges and freezers

The Forge
This area consists of WC’s, shower units, and wash basins. There is constant hot and cold water and separate washing areas for group organizers.

Camping
Our large fields provide the group camper with breath-taking views across the Black Mountains, Brecon Beacons and Forest of Dean. Complete camping and cooking equipment can be supplied and there are designated areas for camp fires and altar fire cooking.

Standing Camps

We have enough equipment as in marquees, tentage ,kitchens etc to put a standing camp up ready for your arrival.We can also supply sleeping bags and sleeping mats if required.

Scouts and guides,youth groups, companies etc use this facility, and its all in private camping grounds overlooking the famous symonds yat rock and views for 50 miles.

Royal Lodge
to enjoy the local area and activities on offer but in slightly more comfortable serviced accommodation see the royal lodge at symonds yat east.
