Useful Information for your Adventure |

Paddle through some truly stunning scenery. You start just below Kerne Bridge & Goodrich Castle. After your safety brief and getting you into your canoes we set you off down the majestic river Wye. Canoeing through Bishopswood and Lydbrook and towards the Welsh Bicknor Youth Hostel, stop for a brief look at an amazing little church right on the right hand river bank. You then pass underneath the disused railway bridge at lower Lydbrook, following the river as it meanders in a big horseshoe underneath the famous Symonds Yat Rock Viewpoint, where the Peregrine Falcons nest. Depending on the time of year you may well see them hunting and teaching their young to fly. From here you paddle underneath Huntsham Bridge and past Symonds Yat West. It takes roughly 45 minutes to an hour to paddle from Huntsham Bridge back to our riverside centre at Symonds Yat East. This trip covers just under 9 miles. Great for first time paddlers and families. In brief, you come to our centre, we drive you upstream and you canoe back. Got any questions? Check out our FAQ section.
