SUP in Symonds Yat East

Stand Up Paddle Boarding as a sport has amazing fitness benefits with an overall core workout combined with the calming effect of being on the water.

The boards are large and stable, making it easy to stand on. Because of this, the sport is attracting people from a variety of backgrounds with little or no board sports knowledge.

However, like all sports, there are techniques and safety information to be aware of.

Here at Wyedean we can teach you all you need to know in this stunning natural environment.

Our sessions are 3 hours, Plenty of time to gain and polish your skills. You will be standing up in no time at all.

Unfortunately we do not allow anyone who is pregnant to partake in any of our activities.

There is always a chance you could end up in the water, especially whilst learning a new water sport. The great thing about SUP is if you fall in you can just climb back on again.

You will be attached to your board by a leash.

Your instructor will be close by if you need a hand.

We follow strict governement guidlines to help ensure we control the spread of covid-19 as best we can, equipment is sanitised between customers and we are out in the open air with plenty of space for social distancing. Rest assured we are doing as much as we possibly can with the knowledge provided by the government.

We work on a maximum of 10 to 1 of our instructors, we do usually try to keep it to a group of 8. But in peak times i.e school holidays these sessions will run at 10.
