You have multiple climbs and caves on your doorstep along with a grade two rapid and miles of tranquil placid water.

Symonds Yat East is a small hamlet in the heart of the Wye Valley. Not only is it the perfect place to go canoeing but there are also some fantastic places to eat, great woodland walks and stunning scenery.

Level 1 Paddle Sport Coach / Canoe and Kayak Coach SW / Slalom Coach
British Canoeing 2 Star Award
Previous experience instructing/coaching
Valid first aid qualification
Up to date BC membership (must have)
BCU 4 Star Leader – Whitewater Kayak or Open Canoe

Desirable:

3 Star kayak award / White Water Kayak Coach MW
3 Star canoe award / Open water Canoe Coach MW
SPA/RCI and cave is also very desirable.
Stand Up Paddleboard Coach SW / Stand Up Paddleboard White Water Coach MW
D1 Mini Bus License + CPC

Wyedean Canoe and Adventure Centre is set in the beautiful Symonds Yat Gorge.

Surrounded by the placid waters of the River Wye and the breath-taking cliffs and woodlands of Symonds Yat Rock. One can undertake in an unparalleled range of outdoor pursuits.

We cater for everyone from the individual to organised groups and companies alike, from the novice to expert.

Paul and Jane have owned & managed Wyedean since 1986. Paul has travelled the world kayaking and is a BCU Level 5 coach. Their aim is to provide a taste of adventure in a safe and professional environment.

The Symonds Yat Gorge provides Wyedean Canoe and Adventure Centre with the best location in the country for the novice or expert canoeist. Our exclusive purpose built facilities on the banks of the Wye comprise allow us to reflect as the professional outfit we always strive to be but also a perfect base to operate our activities from.
